Istanbul University - Cerrahpasa and Azerbaijan Medical University Signed the Collaboration Protocol

Istanbul University - Cerrahpasa and Azerbaijan Medical University signed the Collaboration Protocol to build a framework for collaborative research and exchange programs.

The signing ceremony had held on 18th of April 2019, with the arrival of Rector of Istanbul University – Cerrahpasa Prof. Dr. Nuri AYDIN to Baku, Azerbaijan.

During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nuri Aydın noted that approximately 42 thousand Turkish and foreign students are studying at Cerrahpasa, and new structural changes were taking place at the university.

“Cerrahpasa is a notable national and international brand. I believe that thanks to our cooperation we will be able to assist each other in all areas,” he added.

The rector of Azerbaijan Medical University, Prof. Dr. Garay Garaybayli noted that the memorandum would be useful for promoting the common interests of universities.

“When we sign a cooperation protocol with the universities of the fraternal state, we support the achievement of real goals. Such cooperation is very important for students, residents, doctors and teachers. The agreement we have signed will be a great incentive for joint research,” he said.

The protocol covers topics such as the exchange of students, teaching staff, academic publications and scientific documents; collaboration on doctoral student exchange and writing co-supervised doctoral dissertation and joint research projects.
